Organization to Receive Cash and Support towards the purchase of Equipment; Supported by Local Kubota Dealer, Farm Power Lawn & Leisure
BOONVILLE, Mo. (Sept. 17, 2026) – Kubota Tractor Corporation is reaffirming its commitment to building stronger communities through its sixth annual Kubota Hometown Proud® grant program. This year, the company awarded ten grants – each including $25,000 in cash and $25,000 towards the purchase of Kubota equipment – to nonprofits across the country that are spearheading impactful projects locally. One of those grants is awarded to Impact Activity Center partnering with Farm Power Lawn & Leisure. The Reviving Sumner School project is transforming a historic school into a vibrant community hub; a Kubota compact tractor and zero-turn mower will help maintain the garden and green space.
“We’re thrilled to support the Reviving Sumner School project and the incredible work Impact Activity Center does for our young people,” said Gary Werkmeister of Farm Power Lawn & Leisure. “This equipment will help create beautiful outdoor spaces where local youth can grow and thrive.”
Impact Activity Center in Boonville, Missouri, provides youth programming, community services, and activity spaces that positively impact young people and strengthen community engagement. The Reviving Sumner School project transforms a historic school building into a vibrant community hub serving youth and families through expanded programming, recreational opportunities, and community services. This initiative honors Boonville’s heritage while creating a dynamic space for youth development and community connection. With their Kubota Hometown Proud grant, Impact Activity Center will partner with local Kubota dealer Farm Power Lawn & Leisure and use the funds towards a purchase of a Kubota compact tractor and zero-turn mower to maintain approximately two acres of green space used for sports, games, and community gatherings. The compact tractor will help prepare ground for a community garden and support heavier maintenance tasks, while the zero-turn mower will provide efficient mowing and routine grounds care. Together, the equipment will help keep the property safe, accessible, and welcoming year-round, while reducing reliance on volunteers for labor-intensive upkeep.
The 2026 Kubota Hometown Proud grant program received more than 1,100 applications from communities across the country. After a rigorous review process, 10 grant winners were selected, representing diverse community needs from agricultural education and workforce development to food security, youth empowerment, and environmental stewardship. Since its inception, the program has distributed more than $2.9 million in total funding and equipment to hometown projects nationwide.
